Burgess Hill is a town and civil parish within the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, close to the border with East Sussex, and on the outskirts of the South downs National Park.
Other towns Close to Burgess Hill include Haywards Heath to the north east and Lewes, which is the county town of East Sussex, to the south east. Brighton and Hove is sited approximately 10 miles to the South.
Burgess Hill has a population of over 30,000, making it the fourth largest parish in West Sussex, (behind Horsham, Worthing and Crawley).
Burgess Hill has four business parks and is home to the offices of several national and international companies. Burgess Hill also has fast railway links to Biighton and London and consequently has a large commuting population.
The town has two main shopping centres as well and several more local shopping districts within the town, at Weald Road, Maple Drive, World's End and Sussex Way.
